Five years ago, Lesley had ended her marriage to Wyoming rodeo star Zack Mackenzie, unable to cope with her husband’s risks on the cowboy circuit. Besides, she had to consider the security of their young daughter, Mandy.
Now Zack, apparently flat broke, had turned up on her farm to visit his little girl. Reluctantly, Lesley allowed him to stay, although Zack had more on his mind than shelter.
"You still go up in flames whenever I touch you," he told Lesley. But she knew that surrendering to her desires wouldn’t resolve their painful difference.
